*** Summer Slide Changes ***
important - please read
Due to feedback from previous shows and the overwhelming success of the VRHA May show & SERHA’S July show, the VRHA board, with input from several respected reining professionals, has decided to run two arenas for the Summer Slide to ensure the show progresses in a timely manner. What this means is...
- the Beginner and Green level classes will be moved to the outdoor covered arena (weather permitting) and will begin at the usual time.
- Youth classes will begin in the morning in the coliseum and will be followed by the remainder of the classes.
- The two gray stone arenas will now be utilized as warm up pens.
- The outdoor arena will have its own announcer, gatekeeper, judge and videographer
This move is being made so the entire show will progress in a timelier manner. This change will help to ensure that we are running our Futurity at a reasonable hour, to ensure the safety of the horses and the riders as well as to make certain everyone is able to enjoy the McGee Farms Futurity. This change also ensures that we will finish up at a more reasonable hour on Sunday and folks can hit the highway earlier, a little more alert and a little safer.
We understand this change may upset some and we hope everyone understands this decision was not made lightly. Preparations are currently being made for this move to run smoothly. The outdoor arena will have its own announcer, gatekeeper, judge and videographer (no web feed though, and we apologize) We will post any changes and directions as soon as possible and a plan will be in place to ensure that if youth want to cross enter in green or beginner classes, that they can easily do so.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to discuss with Chris Wiley, Denise Robinson or any board member. Please remember, this move is the help make the show more enjoyable for everyone showing, watching and helping!
Don't miss out on this one!
